CLARION COUNCIL IS LOOKING FOR A PARTNERSHIP with a charter school company/organization to pilot a three-year program so that:

• Results can be demonstrated • Procedural manuals and resources can be developed • Broad based distribution can be achieved By partnering with charter schools, these initiatives can be rapidly implemented and proven as opposed to trying to reform traditional public schools from the inside out. Reform will be fostered through external pressure via competition. It is estimated that charter school waiting lists across the U.S. could fill another 1,121 charter schools. But charter schooling is difficult. They receive less funding than traditional public schools and keeping up with the political environment and compliance issues is daunting. If the charter school movement is to have the positive impact reformers envision, these schools must be supported with proven, replicable programs that form the foundation of success.
