Our Mission
To enable and fortify educational greatness by developing and implementing programs to improve educational performance, instill character, and instruct leadership, that can make an immediate and positive difference in our schools today.

Our Focus
The Clarion Council will support research-based initiatives that can make an immediate difference to students in our community’s schools. We will partner with nimble, non-traditional schools and programs that have the power to implement best practices immediately.
Target Recipients – Not for Profit:
• Charter schools – public schools of choice
• Private schools
• After school and ancillary programs

Our Target Initiatives
The Clarion Council has identified three key initiatives that research indicates can have a rapid and significant impact on student success – Character Education, Teacher Performance Incentives, and School Leadership Development. These programs will be replicable and can serve as a beacon for educational innovation. Moreover, positive changes in emerging new school models will introduce the power of competition into the broader public school system and may be the fastest way to achieve large-scale improvement in America’s schools. The Clarion Council is looking to partner with a charter school company/organization to develop and demonstrate positive results with a three-year pilot program that can be replicated for broad-based implementation.

Clarion Call
A clarion call is a clear, compelling, inspirational appeal to accomplish something significant. Our Clarion Call is focused on taking bold action to improve educational outcomes for America’s school children. The need is clear:

At age 10, American students take an international test and score well above the international average. But by age 15, when students from 40 countries are tested, the Americans place 25th… The longer kids stay in American schools, the worse they do in international competition. As an organizational development consultant for over 15 years I have had the privilege to work with prestigious clients in national and international locales. Helping organizations achieve their goals has been satisfying. In my private life I have served as a volunteer working with students helping them make positive life choices.
